Golden Scepter is an old heirloom dahlia hybridized in 1926. It’s a very productive small blooming dahlia. A formal decorative. It is a buttery golden color with long stems throughout the season. Being so old, the genetics are variable. I get really nice tight closed blooms and in the same flush will get looser bigger blooms sometimes with open center. 
I love this form yellow takes: golden and muted.
