This gorgeous bloom is actually an heirloom and has just recently come back into mainstream notice for good reason
Very productive with long strong stems. Waterlilly variety dahlias tend to not last great as cut flowers, this one lasts decently for a waterlily but not as good as ball or tight formal decorative dahlias.
Fawn changes with the season- see my last photo please! That is early season fawn, at my farm and many other locations too. It doesn't even look like a waterlily type in its early form. A pretty enough flower, but not spectacular. If you grow fawn and get a bloom like this, just patiently wait for the third or forth flush and the fluuffy, layered, peony like apricot/orangish/pinkish blooms will come. This lovely flower cups in the evening which gives extra charm
